About Us

HISAT ® was created back in 1994 and consists of a team of like minded professionals headed by the Owner and Managing Director Tony Hiscox.

The story of HISAT ® began much before this though, with a personal interested in TV and Radio. As a boy when Tony heard about Satellite TV in the 1980’s he became interested as an enthusiast.

The decision to start HISAT ® followed a number of encounters with dealers who, were very happy to take his money but not so ready or able to advise Tony on the finer points and problems – Tony often found he was being given false information by dealers which ultimately convinced him that he could do a better job and give a better service.

Tony had a background in Sales & Management within large distribution companies, selling to companies with whom he HAD to satisfy and whose business he HAD to keep – he knew that the more known about the subject the better his job could be done and so he set about learning as much as possible.

HISAT ® have a priority to sell well built, reliable, feature packed product and as far as possible, future, proofed, product at competitive prices. We look for what we call Quantifiable Quality, meaning It's no good the receiver you are being recommended having all the whistles and bells if for example the tuner sensitivity isn't the equal or better than the best products on the market. We DO NOT sell what a client doesn’t need – that means we’ll listen to you, if you tell us why you want, what you want, we will advise!

Buying in bulk and low overheads has kept us amongst the most competitive distributors anywhere in the world and as well as having many retail clients we have a large number of Trade and Distribution companies buying from us – but without the loss of the personal touch.

Main Office

The New GbSat range of receivers, with the 2CI 120 GbSat taking centre stage.
The 2CI 0, FTA 0 can also be demonstrated.
We demonstrate a range of CAMs the popular Dragon CAM and XCAMs, which are the Big sellers as 2004 Ends.

Display Room

On test is the GbSat “Duet” it’s coupled to two motorized dishes since it can record one channel and allow you to watch any other.

Our Customers

HISAT have some 13000 different clients in the UK, about 10% of which are in the BRISTOL Post code where we are based and around 30% from the surrounding region, this leaves another 40% in the UK and about 20% outside the UK in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, The Middle east, Far East, Americas and Australasia.

We have many clients who we count as friends.

People often say we are the friendliest and most helpful dealers they have experienced. Helping people get the most out of what they buy from us is our aim.

Whilst a few of our clients are very technically minded the vast majority would consider themselves novices but we are happy to take all comers and teach them as much as they want to know or need to know to get a successful satellite system up and running.

Our clients are all ages we have had 82 year olds fit the systems and at least one 14 year old (under supervision). Our unique in house CDROM which includes an Installation Video is available Free to all and is supplied with all systems

Our clients are all cultures, colours, religions. In the UK we have clients who are or who want Italian, Spanish, Chineese, Turkish, Arabic, Perian, Hebrew, French, Swedish, Norwegian, Finish, Danish, Portugueese, Russian and many other language TV We have clients who are Muslim, Christian, Jewish and many others.

Many of our clients simply want worthwhile TV for LESS HARD CASH and our systems can provide this in abundance, FILMS, SPORTS, MUSIC, ADULT, KIDS, GENERAL ENTERTAINMENT, DOCUMENTARY, NEWS, LANGUAGES, or RELIGIOUS
